Yes, Jobright is legit. Jobright Inc., a Delaware company based in Santa Clara, California, runs it, and it holds 4.8 on Trustpilot from 3,639 reviews. It matches you to jobs, tailors your resume, autofills applications through a free extension and offers an Agent that applies for you. The limits: US-based roles only, prices shown only in the app, and no public rules for what its Agent sends without asking.

## Is Jobright legit?

Yes, Jobright is legit. It's run by Jobright Inc., registered in Delaware with offices in Santa Clara, California, and on October 22, 2026 it held 4.8 on Trustpilot from 3,639 reviews. The limits are practical, not legal: it lists US-based roles only, prices appear only in the app, and its Agent's approval rules aren't published.

Jobright's [terms of service](https://jobright.ai/legal/service), last updated July 29, 2026, name the operator and its addresses. Its co-founders are Eric Cheng (CEO) and Ethan Zheng (CTO). In June 2025, [The Register](https://www.theregister.com/2025/06/24/ai_may_take_jobs_but/) reported a $3.2 million funding round led by Translink Capital, with Indeed's venture arm taking part.

The ratings are strong across platforms. [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/jobright.ai) shows 84% 5-star reviews and 1% 1-star; Jobright has claimed the profile, invites customers to review and replies to 98% of negative reviews. The [App Store listing](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id6738236788) shows 4.8 from 1.6K ratings, and the [Chrome extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/odcnpipkhjegpefkfplmedhmkmmhmoko) shows 4.9 from 389 ratings and 300,000 users.

## How does Jobright apply for you?

Jobright applies in two ways: an autofill extension that fills forms while you submit, and the Jobright Agent, which fills and submits for you. The extension is documented and keeps you in control. The Agent is the auto-apply product, and Jobright doesn't publish whether it waits for your approval or what it does with questions it can't answer.

**The autofill extension.** From the [autofill page](https://jobright.ai/job-autofill), the steps are: install the extension, set up your profile, open an application and click Autofill, then submit it yourself. Jobright says it works on "thousands of ATS platforms" but doesn't name them. It's free to start.

**The Jobright Agent.** The [Agent page](https://jobright.ai/ai-agent) says: "One click and your resume goes out perfectly tailored, the application forms are filled, and every submission is tracked for you." It doesn't say which application systems it supports, whether you review each application before it goes, or what happens when a form asks for something your profile doesn't cover, such as work authorization or salary history.

Jobright's own terms put the responsibility on you: "You must provide accurate and truthful profile, resume, and application information and keep it current." That matters most for anything a tool sends without showing you first.

## Where does Jobright work?

Jobright lists US-based roles only. Its App Store listing says "Jobright currently lists U.S.-based roles only", and the FAQ on its Agent page says it "currently supports U.S.-based opportunities", with global expansion underway. If you're searching in Canada, the UK or Europe, Jobright's matching won't help you today.

The Agent page claims "8,000,000+" jobs in total and "400,000+" new each day, but doesn't name where they come from.

## How much does Jobright cost?

Jobright doesn't publish current prices. Its pricing URL returns an error, and its paid plan, Turbo, is priced inside the app. Its terms list weekly, monthly, quarterly and six-month billing periods that renew automatically until cancelled. The Agent page says every feature includes daily free credits, with a paid option for unlimited access.

The most recent figure we could source is from June 2025, when The Register reported the premium tier "starts at $30 per month". Treat that as dated, and check the total at checkout.

The [refund policy](https://jobright.ai/legal/refund), last updated July 29, 2026, is clearer than most in this category:

- "Monthly, Quarterly, and 6-Month plans: You may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of the initial charge."
- "Weekly plans: You may request a full refund within 24 hours of the initial charge."
- "If a subscription renewed unintentionally, contact Jobright within 3 calendar days of the renewal charge."
- Refunds are generally not given when the request is "based only on not receiving interviews, callbacks, offers, or another particular job-search outcome", or for "subjective dissatisfaction with AI-generated content that was successfully delivered."
- Purchases through an app store follow that store's refund process.

The 7-day and 24-hour windows apply to first-time purchases. On a weekly plan, a day is not long to judge the results.

## What do Jobright users say?

Jobright's public feedback is mostly positive. Trustpilot reviewers praise its clean design, accurate matches, resume tailoring and time saved. The complaints are smaller: repetitive autofill, prices that changed, roles outside the user's area, and on Reddit, high application counts without offers and tailoring that stretches the truth.

Paraphrased from [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/jobright.ai) and Reddit:

- **Matching and ease of use.** The most common praise. Several Trustpilot reviewers credit the free tier, including tailored resumes.
- **Tailoring that goes too far.** In [one r/jobright thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/jobright/comments/1r8795q/is_jobright_turbo_worth_it/), a recent graduate said the tailoring would stretch earlier roles to fit a job, making them "seem over exaggerated or even just lies". Another user in the thread said they'd applied to over 100 jobs with Turbo with no answer.
- **Volume without offers.** A [90-day report](https://www.reddit.com/r/jobright/comments/1tgqnxx/90_days_of_use/) counted 2,113 applications to "internal" jobs and 422 "external" ones since mid-March, with interest but no offers, and the user let Turbo lapse.
- **US-only surprise.** In a [2025 r/recruitinghell thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/recruitinghell/comments/1mtrzms/dont_pay_for_jobrightai_and_waste_your_money_so/), a paying user complained they were still on the waitlist for the Agent, and another said they got a refund after finding out Jobright only covers US jobs.

These are individual reports, not a representative sample, and other users in the same threads report interviews and offers.

## Who is Jobright a good fit for?

Jobright suits job seekers targeting US roles who want strong matching, referrals and resume tailoring, and are happy to submit through an extension. It's a weak fit if you're applying outside the US, want to see prices before you sign up, or need to know exactly what an auto-apply agent will send for you.

Signs it isn't for you:

- Your search includes roles outside the US.
- You'd only let a tool submit for you if it documents when it stops and asks.
- You'd want more than 24 hours on a weekly plan to decide whether it's working.

## How is Tolta different?

Jobright is a broad job search copilot for US roles; Tolta is an AI job application agent with public prices and no US-only limit. Tolta checks named company career boards (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Rippling, Workable and Teamtailor) continuously, so new roles reach you within hours. It tailors your CV and cover letter for each job, applies on the employer's own form, and asks you once when a question needs a real answer.

The differences that matter against Jobright:

- **Published rules for unknown questions.** If your profile can't answer a question truthfully, the application waits, and your answer is reused next time. Tolta never auto-fills past salary, criminal history or a photo on US forms, and work authorization is re-confirmed on a schedule. Details are on our [safety page](/safety).
- **Tolta fills the form; you say go.** Nothing goes out until you approve it, in one click.
- **Named sources.** Every job comes from a named company career board. Tolta submits for you on Ashby, Workable, Rippling and Teamtailor today; on the other boards it finds the role and sends you to the employer's form.
- **One address, one inbox.** Each user gets a permanent personal application address, and employer replies land in a Tolta inbox.

Jobright helps US job seekers find roles and fill forms; Tolta does the applying, on the employer's own form, with boards that aren't limited to the US. See [how Tolta's auto-apply works](/auto-apply), and what it will and won't send in your name.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Jobright legit or a scam?

Jobright is legit. It's run by Jobright Inc., registered in Delaware with offices in Santa Clara, California, and on October 22, 2026 it held 4.8 on Trustpilot from 3,639 reviews and 4.8 on the App Store from 1.6K ratings. We wouldn't call it a scam. The real questions are fit: it lists US-based roles only, and it doesn't publish how its Agent decides what to submit.

### How much does Jobright cost?

Jobright doesn't publish current prices: its pricing page returns an error, and its paid plan, Turbo, is priced in the app. Its terms list weekly, monthly, quarterly and six-month billing periods. Its Agent page says every feature comes with daily free credits, and the paid option gives unlimited access. In June 2025, The Register reported the premium tier started at $30 a month. Check the total at checkout.

### Can I get a refund from Jobright?

Yes, within short windows. Jobright's refund policy (updated July 29, 2026) gives a full refund of a first purchase within 7 calendar days on monthly, quarterly and six-month plans, and within 24 hours on weekly plans. An unintended renewal can be raised within 3 days. It generally won't refund for not getting interviews or for dissatisfaction with AI-generated content. App store purchases follow the store's policy.

### Does Jobright apply to jobs for me?

Two ways. The free-to-start autofill extension fills an application form and you submit it yourself. The Jobright Agent goes further: Jobright says that with one click your resume is tailored, the application forms are filled and every submission is tracked. Jobright doesn't publish whether the Agent waits for your approval on each application or what it does when a form asks something your profile can't answer.

### Does Jobright work outside the US?

Not for job listings. Jobright's App Store listing says it 'currently lists U.S.-based roles only', and its Agent page says it 'currently supports U.S.-based opportunities', with global expansion underway. One Reddit user asked for and got a refund after learning this, because they were searching in Europe. If you're applying outside the US, check coverage before you pay.

### Does Jobright tailor my resume?

Yes. Resume tailoring is one of Jobright's core features, and many Trustpilot reviewers praise it. Read what it produces, though. One Reddit user said the tailoring only touched their experience and summary sections and sometimes stretched past roles to fit a job, making them 'seem over exaggerated or even just lies'. Jobright's own terms require accurate and truthful application information.

### What's a good Jobright alternative?

Tolta finds new roles on named company career boards, tailors your CV and cover letter for each one, applies on the employer's own form and holds any question it can't answer truthfully until you answer it once. It isn't limited to US roles. Plans start at $19.99 a week, with a full refund within 7 days if 10 or fewer applications were sent. If you'd rather submit yourself, Simplify's autofill extension is free.
